Mark Tulloss & Kirsten Kuhlmann, the founding partners of Coffee Cup Productions, have spent decades building a large network of artists, producers and directors throughout the country. They are passionately connected to the Chicago music scene with ties to markets nationally and internationally. As the CCP team, they have brought numerous visions for their clients to fruition by launching brands, creating music and educational programming, developing learning materials and groundbreaking content for the web and social media. Among their recent endeavors is a partnership with SlingStudio™ as beta testers and marketers for the latest in live stream technology.

Kirsten brings expertise from a career in the ad agency world while Mark offers a musician’s perspective as an accomplished bass player.

Joe Corzine

Live Sound

Joseph Corzine is an established audio engineer, technician and also a musician with over 25 years of professional experience. He was a music education major whose career as a technician and engineer came to fruition. His passion for music and technology is what keeps him driven and excited for his profession. His extensive experience in all aspects of the music industry is what makes him excel today. He has worked with thousands of artists including Pete Best from the Beatles with Denny Laine and the horn section from Wings, Ace Frehley from Kiss, Foster the People, A Day To Remember, Stryper, Loverboy, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, MC Nas, Survivor, Foghat, Sonny Rollins, Michael McDonald, Cheap Trick, Joan Rivers, Lonnie Brooks, Nelson, Skid Row, Queensryche, and many more national touring acts. His knowledge is adept at analog as well as digital formats. He is extremely excited about teaching and interacting with new students.

Nigel Mack

BACKGROUND:

As an in-demand performing artist, Chicago blues ‘triple threat’ Nigel Mack (slide guitar, harmonica and vocals) fuses classics with the punch of contemporary original blues. These are talents honed by years of touring North America and Europe.  Nigel’s latest all-original release, Devil’s Secrets, was #1 blues CD on Galaxy Satellite radio and won an award from the Windy City Blues Society in Chicago, IL.  His compositions have been featured on television sound-tracks ‘Dawson’s Creek’, ‘The Street’ and ‘Time of Your Life’.

Nigel Mack keeps a busy schedule as a music instructor.  He has taught Blues in the Schools programs, Band Camps, Harmonica Seminars and Gear-Tone Seminars in addition to private lessons.  

Nigel’s fields of specialization include electric and acoustic slide, finger-style, blues and rock guitar and blues harmonica. 

Kalyan Pathak

Tabla, RnB Percussion, World Percussion and Drumset

BACKGROUND & EDUCATION
Kalyan Pathak is one of the busiest virtuoso tabla and multi-ethnic percussionists in USA with global professional achievements. Born in Ahmedabad, India, rigorous training in Classical North Indian Tabla with Ustad Kader Khan and Reheman Khan from his age 7, in his late teen years Kalyan went to Mumbai where as an apprentice to India’s premier drumset player, Ranjit Barot, Kalyan studied Western music; becoming a very successful musician working on a national music scene in India. Arriving in the US in 1991, on a full music scholarship, Kalyan graduated with Honors, B. Music, Jazz Performance, from Roosevelt University, 1996. In Chicago, Kalyan immersed himself in studying world percussion from various percussion masters from Cuba, Brazil and Middle East.

Kalyan has performed, collaborated and toured with many international artists from jazz, classical and jam-band music scenes, such as, Aretha Franklin, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Jazz Organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, as a soloist with Elgin Symphony Orchestra and San Francisco Ballet, tour of Israel with Alberto Mizrahi and Peter Yarrow with the musical director Howard Levy, collaborative group member with Fareed Haque Group, Corky Seigel’s Chamber Blues, and many others. Musical tours of Europe, Brazil, North America, Mexico, Israel, India. 

SPECIALTIES
Kalyan has been consultant for developing World Percussion programs for International Music Foundation, Music Alive, Ravinia, Merit School of Music, Chicago Symphony and Fulcrum Point New Music Project.  First Chair/First Call percussionist for Chicago phenome band “Tributosaurus”, Kalyan has transcribed percussion parts for over 1000 classic songs and performed a large variety of percussion instruments from RnB Latin Percussion to Electronics to Special effects and World Percussion.  

At Wire, Kalyan offers private lessons in RnB Percussion, Latin Percussion, Indian and Middle Eastern Rhythms, Tabla, and World Rhythms on Drumset. In a group class, Kalyan teaches a course focusing on World Rhythms, Odd Time Signatures, Poly rhythms and Ensemble rhythms from various cultures. 

Anthony Berrios

Anthony Berrios is a Florida native that moved to Chicago Illinois in order to pursue higher education at Columbia College Chicago. He quickly excelled in audio courses becoming a teaching assistant in the live sound program. Anthony has mixed at numerous venues and clubs around the Chicagoland area. Anthony has also worked as an assistant lighting designer for Mike Wood Lighting Design in Tampa, Florida. Anthony received a Bachelors of arts focused in Live Sound from Columbia College Chicago in 2015.

Currently, Anthony is a freelance audio engineer and lighting designer working for sound companies and various venues all around Chicago. Anthony teaches in the Audio Arts and Acoustics program at Columbia College Chicago. He teaches three live sound focussed classes at Columbia.

Henry Salgado

Trombonist Henry Salgado established himself on the Chicago scene while working on his Jazz Studies degree at DePaul University. He began subbing in the pit orchestras of the Goodman Theatre,Marriott Lincolnshire and the Drury Lane Oakbrook.

   Salgado has also performed with many top entertainers including Josh Groban, Robbie Fulks,Aretha Franklin, Sister Sledge,Bill Champlin,Felix Cavaliere,Mike Reno(Loverboy),Alex Ligertwood(Santana),Joey Molland (Badfinger),Ides of March,Frankie Valli, Kurt Elling, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torme, Rita Moreno, Della Reese the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Orchestra and the Doc Severinsen Orchestra.
